Be Sneaky with Jameis Winston in Week 9

Mike Blewitt Staff Writer November 7, 2015 1:17PM EDT
Injuries played a significant role in the action in Week 8 and created an interesting dynamic that we don’t often see in Fantasy Football. Players like us are long accustomed to seeing running backs play a significant role from week-to-week, and yet, last week only ONE ball carrier finished among the Top 20 point scorers (kudos, Todd Gurley). A 14-touchdown explosion occurred in New Orleans, 13 of the passing/receiving variety courtesy of the victorious Drew Brees and the inexplicably-vanquished Eli Manning. Odell Beckham, Brandin Cooks and Benjamin Watson were also part of the Cajun onslaught, while Tavon Austin and Julian Edelman scored multiple times to deliver some value to owners of the season-long and weekly variety.

We went across the pond in last week’s edition to deliver Alex Smith as a sneaky play, and Crockett Gilmore saved us with a touchdown catch. Golden Tate and Charles Sims were average in PPR leagues while Dexter McCluster and Marvin Jones let us down.
