Crush Or Flush Catchers

Baseball hurts. It’s designed that way. It’s a beautiful game, but it comes with heartache and pain.

Fantasy Baseball is no different. The first heartache is drafting a catcher, or probably two of them, as most leagues do. In this new world, let’s toss aside the political correctness: catchers suck.

Of course there is Posey. And…well, just Posey. I’m not one to draft a catcher early; you’ll be lucky if I roster one before Round 18, and some years, round 28. If catchers are either terrible or unpredictable (and most are), why waste a high round pick on a player who will sit twice a week, or get hurt in May?
