Real life big league teams are making personnel moves. Sometimes it’s by choice, and other times it’s out of necessity. In order to remain competitive in your Fantasy leagues, you’re going to need to continually make moves as well, and this column is designed to introduce you to some of the players that you should be focusing on.

I included Pirates outfield prospect Austin Meadows in my watch list column last week. Although he’s struggling in Triple-A and the Bucs don’t think he’s Major League ready right now, Starling Marte’s 80 game suspension for using PEDs, makes it likely that he’ll see big league action sooner rather than later.

I also featured Whit Merrifield in last week’s column, and although he’s only viable in deeper mixed or AL-only leagues, he’s back in the big leagues and hit a home run in his 2017 debut. Enough with the patting myself on the back. Let’s see how long it takes these next five prospects to make it to the big leagues. I think they all have a chance of getting promoted before the 2017 season is over. All stats are accurate as of the morning of 4/19/2017.
