Forget Who’s Hot and Who’s Not. The name of this column should be who’s injured and who’s not. I play in five year-long leagues. Currently, I have 30 players on the disabled list. It’s just a matter of survival right now as two of those leagues have no DL slots, one has unlimited DL slots, and the other two have two DL slots. I’m a big believer in unlimited DL slots, as I don’t believe a Fantasy owner should be hurt twice; first by losing the player and then having to release a player, whom a league mate without injuries can claim, just so that you can field a full roster. It’s just maddening and if you play in a deep league where the waiver wire has already been picked clean, good luck competing this season if you have as many players on the DL as I do, and I know I’m not the only one in this predicament. It’s just another reason why you need to be extremely patient before moving on from a player because he’s struggling. One person’s trash will be another’s treasure this year.
