Injury Based Start or Sit Advice for Week 11

Special from InsideInjuries.com June 12, 2017 10:35AM EDT

Manny Machado, 3B BAL – Cautious Start

Manny Machado has been out since Wednesday’s game against the Pirates when he took a cleat to the hand trying to tag Andrew McCutchen on a stolen base attempt. He has been diagnosed with a strained left wrist. Orioles’ manager Buck Showalter has said that he believes that Machado can avoid a DL stint, which means that logically he believes he will only be shelved for a week maximum. This leads us to believe he will be back to work early this week. The injury shouldn’t have too many ill effects as long as he feels ok, so feel confident in putting him in your lineup if he has voiced his health.
