Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger and Cubs’ Kyle Schwarber Atop MVP and LVP Lists to Date

George Kurtz Staff Writer July 14, 2017 3:18PM EDT
This will not be your typical Who’s Hot and Who’s Not column. Instead, we will look at which players may be the reason you’re either winning or losing your league. In other words, players you either owe thanks to or whose performance has you thinking you will never draft them again. When it comes to the Fantasy MVPs, I’m not looking at players taken in the early rounds; they were expected to be great. I’m looking at players who were picked late in your draft or possibly even claimed off the waiver wire and are helping you win. Fantasy LVP pretty much speaks for itself, although I have left players off the list that have spent more than a month on the disabled list. One thing to keep in mind, though, is just because I included someone on this list doesn’t mean I believe they will keep playing so well or so poorly for the remainder of the season. Hooray, the games are back Friday.
