After a whirlwind of breaking news to end last week, it’s good to get back into what we Fantasy Football owners normally talk about, training camp injuries. I’m no doctor although I play one on the radio from time to time. When it comes to injuries we have to understand that for some players i.e. Andrew Luck and Cam Newton being healthy for week one is more important than being on the field right now. In this video for Executive Edge subscribers, I break down how training camp injuries to Leonard Fournette, Jordan Reed, and Jordan Matthews will affect their draft stocks.
Let’s start in D.C. with tight end Jordan Reed. Reed is no stranger to the injury report, whether it’s training camp or the regular season. Reed is currently missing practice time due to turf toe. Jordan Reed has 5 concussions on record between his collegiate and professional careers. Twice in his career, Reed has ended up on the season-ending IR because of this issue. Concussions are what worry me about Reed. The ‘Skins are saying that he will be back on the practice field next week. Reed is planning on wearing an orthopedic cleat to help with the pain once he returns to action. He will likely deal with this injury for the entire season. Pain tolerance will be key in this situation.
