Executive News Desk: Quarterback Notebook

Corey Parson The Fantasy Executive August 24, 2017 8:58PM EST

With the kickoff of the 2017 Fantasy Football season coming let’s go over some of the latest news pertaining to the quarterback position. In this exclusive video for Executive Edge subscribers, I break down what should be expected from a DeShone Kizer led Cleveland Browns offense. Everyone one knows I am the high man on Browns running back Isaiah Crowell.  Rookie quarterbacks can be tough to deal with for Fantasy Football owners. Sometimes they can bring the whole offense down — see Jared Goff. In other cases, a rookie quarterback can be a franchise savior — see Dak Prescott. It will be interesting to see what the young man does with his opportunity.

The big quarterback news today is the status of Colts quarterback Andrew Luck for Week One. ESPN is reporting that the odds are against Andrew Luck playing in the season opener. I have been all over this story and really didn’t expect Luck to be ready for Week One. Do not get me wrong, I took the Colts quarterback in the 10th round of a draft earlier this week. I also drafted Matthew Stafford, so I will be good until Luck is ready to roll. Check my rankings for the latest on T.Y.Hilton, Donte Moncrief, and the Colts other offensive weapons. I will still roster Hilton and Moncrief if I see a buying opportunity.
