We’re now into December in the Fantasy regular season, and with other things going on, family and friends potentially visiting, shopping being done, etc., this month can go by quickly. Perhaps you have a little less time to set your lineup or make transactions during these weeks of the holiday season. I’ll do my best to keep the columns quick, concise and helpful since your time is going to be limited.

Philadelphia 76ers PF/C Lavoy Allen has been an early holiday gift for Fantasy owners who decided to take a chance on him. Over the past week he is averaging 8.8 points per game (ppg), 6.3 rebounds per game (rpg) with 1.8 assists per game (apg) and 1.3 blocks per game (bpg) in four games. Allen has been getting about 28 minutes per game, and he posted his first double-double of the season in Charlotte Friday. He is still owned in just seven percent of all Fantasy leagues, yet he continues to find himself in the nightly starting lineup. Sure, he isn’t great, but he contributes in several different areas and can be a boon to Fantasy owners looking for frontcourt depth in leagues of 12 or more teams. Allen will continue to get plenty of run until C Andrew Bynum (knee) is ready to return. When that will be is anyone’s guess.
