Last night’s Monday Night Football game between the Jets and the Titans was pretty painful to watch, no matter who you were rooting for. Most of the Pee Wee football games across the country aren’t that sloppy. Someone watching football for the first time may have mistaken the broadcast for a three hour informercial on why you shouldn’t watch an NFL game. Think about the entertainment value of the 49ers vs. Patriots the night before and compare that to the game last night and it’s hard to imagine it’s even the same league!
Frankly, the most entertaining part of the evening may have come during the pre-game exchange between Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden in the ESPN booth. Check out the still frame below as Gruden craps his pants while Tirico was talking about Tim Tebow’s ribs.
Now that’s entertainment… I’m still trying to figure out why Gruden pinched a loaf on the air. I guess he knew the game would be a stinker…
