Josh Thibodeau of Boca Raton, FL is in the Week 17 Championship Game of his high stakes Fantasy Football league today, playing for a sum of $25,000. Thibodeau who had Ryan Fitzpatrick and Sam Bradford on his roster coming into the week chose to pick up Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who was announced as the Raiders starter this week against the Chargers in San Diego, and has decided to start him.
It’s been quite a while since there was a relevant Terrelle Pryor mention in the NFL. For those of you who have lost track, after being suspended by Ohio State, Pryor was taken in the third round of the supplemental draft in August 2011 by late Raiders owner Al Davis. Pryor missed almost all of training camp and then served a five-game suspension before he could be activated. He got on the field just once as a rookie – committing a false start before his only play.
With Carson Palmer out, Pryor jumped second stringer Matt Leinart to start the Raiders final game. Terrelle hasn’t played meaningfully since preseason and was inactive the first 11 games of this year. He played briefly the past two weeks in specialty packages, completing one of two passes for 5 yards, ran the ball once for 2-yards and caught a 22-yard pass.
