In case you’re not familiar with the auction format, players get a total “budget” of $260 fake dollars, with which they bid for players and, of course, the highest bid (“going once, going twice…..”) wins the player. Most leagues utilize 23 player rosters, meaning you will spend an “average” $11.30 on each player. So if you’re willing to pay $52 to get Miguel Cabrera, you can have him, but then you’ll spend an average of $9.45 on all other players.
