One close Yankees observer told me that if Tanaka makes over 30 starts and finishes over .500, the team should be happy with that. If he wins half of his starts, that should be considered a success. Fans and Fantasy players should “cut him some slack” during his first MLB campaign, but also remember he did not post his impressive Japanese numbers by accident.
