FANTASY BASEBALL: TOP 200 FANTASY PROSPECTS Print
Written by Bill Root, RotoExperts.com Writer

Sure, there are many prospect lists out there. But did you ever stop to think how many of them are fantasy-focused? The answer is, not many. Many publications and websites have baseball prospect lists that punish players because of their horrendous defensive skills or because they are one-dimensional speed demons. Defense does not win fantasy championships and many times those pure speedsters can be Roto stars in the stolen base and runs categories. This Top 200 list simply reflects future Fantasy value.

I have primarily ranked the players based on their long-term fantasy value. Factors such as opportunity for playing time, position value, impact in the short-term, age, composition of major league team, overall individual skills, and future category contributions were all considered in the analysis. Study this list and you will find yourself a fantasy diamond in the rough to scoop up on draft day or off the waiver wire. And remember, this list will continually be updated throughout the season. So, continue to check back.

RotoExperts Top 200 Fantasy Prospects Print
Written by Jason Revelia, RotoExperts.com Staff Writer

There are a lot of prospects lists out there for everyone to look at and some even for free. Well, not really that many for free. My point is I have seen a ton of these lists and way too often some fantasy studs fall through the cracks. Just take a look at the 2008 Class; Alexei Ramirez ,"The Cuban Missile", Mike Aviles (who was a "Diamond in the Rough" on May 22nd, 2008) and Chris Davis, are just a few of the prospects who have contributed this year but were not highly ranked. Many lists missed these guys altogether. Don't even get me started on where most of these prospect lists had Ryan Braun at the start of 2007. I feel there is a huge glaring reason for this; most of the "baseball prospect lists" out there are just that BASEBALL prospect lists. Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm playing FANTASY Baseball. What I have done with this list is to gear it completely towards fantasy baseball. That means I really don't care that Matt Gamel's glove is a problem; the dude can rake. That was the same take I had on Chris Davis. I know he K's too much for most baseball prospect experts, but you know what, it never hurt his BA in the minors. I say the proof is in the pudding. The pudding says "He's got sick power and he's showing it". Check out the "Fantasy Prospect List" below.

Disclaimer: Some players that have spent a large portion of time in the Majors this year have been left off. We are finding players that the other guys in your league don't know about.
