David Gonos, former Senior Fantasy Writer at CBSSports.com and Senior Editor at OPEN Sports, has joined RotoExperts.com as a Fantasy Writer and Analyst. Gonos, one of the most well-respected, recognized and versatile Fantasy writers in the industry, joins an award-winning content staff where he rejoins former colleagues Scott Engel and Daniel Dobish.
For two-plus years at CBS SportsLine (now CBSSports.com) Gonos was part of an All-Star cast of Fantasy content writers that was spearheaded by Engel, an inaugural member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association’s Hall of Fame, and also included Fantasy luminaries such as Michael Fabiano (currently with NFL.com), Tristan H. Cockcroft (ESPN.com) and Dobish, who later worked with Gonos at OPEN Sports.
Gonos’ Fantasy prowess was further confirmed when he won the prestigious Tout Wars Fantasy Baseball Mixed League championship in 2008. Gonos has been a dedicated Fantasy player since 1989, and he started as a Fantasy Football columnist for FFInformer.com in 2000. David Gonos also launched his own website, FantasyRef.com, and then became known industry-wide for running and directing popular expert competitions.
In 2003, Engel recruited Gonos to work at CBS SportsLine, where he quickly progressed from a player updates staffer to Senior Writer. Gonos became a featured analyst on Fantasy Baseball, NASCAR and Hockey and was a regular contributor in other Fantasy Sports. In 2008, Gonos joined OPEN Sports, a site founded by former CBS SportsLine CEO Mike Levy, as the Senior Editor and content team leader. Gonos is excited to now rejoin his former colleagues at the fastest-growing independent Fantasy Sports site in the industry.
