The big sports story of the day though is the meteor that hit the NBA last night, uh, which is gonna kill the Milwaukee Bucks. Nobody else, but if you live in Milwaukee, you're dead, uh, because the honest meteor finally hit, uh, I guess Winhorse had a first, I think he did at least, uh, that he has officially asked for a trade, and it is, uh, time to get out of Milwaukee and, uh, for people like me, long suffering New York Knickerbocker fan. The story again, according to Brian Winhor, which I think has been confirmed now, is the only place he really wants to go would be to come to my town, my city to play in the mecca. You see what he looks like right there in the orange and blue, and that'd be to play for the New York Knicks. And they tried to get that done, apparently this last offseason when he went to Milwaukee and said, yeah, if you're gonna trade me the one team I'd like to go to, I would be the New York Knicks. boxers, OK. Now he does not have a no trade clause. There's only two guys in the league right now that do, and he ain't one of them, OK? Meaning they can do whatever the hell they want. They've been very good in regards to paying him, obviously, and trying to do right by him. And to be fair to Giannis, this is the first time Giannis is now acting like a superstar from a standpoint of, I know I cannot win in Milwaukee, and they have won, and you don't take it away from them. Kevin Durant's foot was on the line. Or else Milwaukee never would have won a title that year, obviously, but he's got a title. So unlike guys like, oh, I don't know, Lebronski, he's no longer chasing a title. He's got the hardware, he's got the Hall of Fame career. He's a top 5 basketball player in the world today. He's also on the wrong side of 30. So how many more years you're gonna get uh of him at that level? Who, who the heck knows. Here's the reality though. And I'm a diehard Knick fan. If the Knicks want to get him, get used to these three names. Deuce McBride, I know that doesn't make you moist, but very good guy off the bench, Deuce McBride, #1, OG Aannobi, who's also got a title in his back pocket as well, and Carl Anthony Towns. That's what it would take for the, and then you want to add a first round draft pick, a couple of them, a couple of twos, whatever it is, but that's essentially what he would take for the new. New York Knicks to acquire the services of Giannis. And if you're, if you're a Knick fan out there, you say yes to that immediately. You don't waver on it, you don't question it, you don't negotiate, you don't counter. You say, as much as I love OG, as much as Carl Anthony Townsend is a big part of getting to our first Eastern Conference final in 20 years, and I do like New Deuce McBride a lot off the bench. Yes, and thank you. And then you might even bend over afterwards and allow them to have their way because we're getting on, OK, but I've got to be fair about this because I made a pledge 34 years ago that I would never lie to the audience, OK. The New York Knicks do not have the best offer to make to Milwaukee to get Giannis. And as much as we all think, the world revolves around us in New York and maybe it very well does, and we all can't wait to watch him put on that Nick orange and blue, and that is a great package, by the way, let's just get that right. That is a valuable package going back to Milwaukee and frankly might make Milwaukee a playoff team. To be fair about it. And right now they're about 500, right? Uh, they're kind of, you know, tinkering around with, you know, what are they with Giannis, what are they without Giannis? They're, I think 9 and 8 with Giannis, 1 and 5 without him. If I have my numbers correct, please fact check me on that. So they're not a great basketball team. I think they become a 500 basketball team with those guys, meaning they're in the playoffs or at least in the playing, OK, and because they don't have their own first round pick, there's no incentive for the Bucks right now to tank. Because they don't, they're not tying a tank and the New York Knicks have two first rounders coming up, one from Washington, uh, which is protected in the top 8. So, you know, that's not a great pick if you get once you get outside of 8, and their own pick is gonna be, you know, hopefully 30th, right? Um, but there is a team out there and there's probably multiple teams out there, to be fair, that have a better package to offer. And the first team to me that came to mind are the San Antonio Spurs. Because the San Antonio Spurs can give you your choice of Dylan Harper, Aaron Fox. Harper, of course, is a rookie. So it's like getting a first round draft pick, and Harper's gotten off to a pretty good start in the NBA. Also, Castle, the reigning rookie of the year as well, could go on that package instead. So and I'm like you wouldn't take Harper and Fox because they both play guard, but you one of the. 2, I would take Harper because he's younger and he's got a better contract obviously. Cassels the reigning rookie of the year, as you said. He makes sense to me and they've got draft picks coming up. Now, you're not getting as much talent today as what the Knicks could give you if you took some combination of what Tyrone is saying there, but as much as I want him in New York, as much as he has allegedly said to. Milwaukee, get a deal done with New York, and this would be kind of like the Knicks getting Carmelo Anthony when they got him, a guy still in his prime, uh, to come to New York or even Amae Stoudemire when they first got him from Phoenix. They don't have the same amount of either draft capital in combination with current players as other teams do.
