Let's get started tonight. 12:16. Yeah, that's the date tonight, 9:00 p.m. Troy and Jacksonville State. Why this game's on 9:00 p.m. I have no idea. That is terrible, terrible broadcasting, but it is. Troy opened up as a 3.5 point favorite. We're now down to 1.5, Joe, across the board and a total, which was 50.5, now sits 49.5. Troy, Jacksonville State, live on your television tonight. What's your spread line here? Well, uh, Donnie, this game here is, uh, of course, the salute to Veterans Bowl, and the most, well, the biggest line movement so far in this game has been on the total. This thing opened up as high as 51.5, and then immediately dropped by nearly 5 points, Donnie. Why? Well, we learned that Troy, who lost their starting quarterback, Goose Crowder, how do you love, that's a quarterback name right there. Goose Crowder in the Sun Belt Championship title game against uh JMU and nobody thought he was gonna be able to play. Well, it turns out, Donnie, he is playing, uh, and he is listed as probable. He's been practicing all week here. Jacksonville State, uh, what you just saw against my boys at Kennesaw State is exactly the team you're gonna get in this game. So we have seen, obviously, the total kickback. But we've also seen Troy go from an opening 4-point favorite, down to about a 1, 1.5, even a pick him in some spots. The backup quarterback just as capable as Goose Crowder here, but you gotta think that, uh, the idea of not having their starting quarterback was what originally caused this line to move. And if he's not 100%, Donnie, it wouldn't shock me at all. Jacksonville State runs right over them. You might be watching the NFL on Thursday night and rightfully so, but how about even more College football bowl season here, Joe, Missouri State and Arkansas State. Another 9 o'clock start. You gotta be kidding me with this stuff. The favorite opened up as Arkansas State, Joe, -2.5, now sits at 1.5 and a total down from the opening number 56.5 to 54.5. Missouri State, Arkansas State, the two states getting after it. What's your spread line here? You, you just gotta love this, Donnie, cause I'm giving you two bowl games that nobody cares about, right? But look at these spreads, right? These spreads here, just keep an eye on this, but before we're gonna get to another game that I want to point something out here. Uh, but Missouri State and Arkansas State, while a lot of people on break now in college, Johnny, are likely playing Xbox, this is the Xbox bowl game. Uh, which, how cool would that be to go to, now that I think about it. Maybe they give away, uh, free, uh, remote controls or something. But listen, Arkansas State and, uh, and Missouri State, two teams that have played a very similar schedule. Uh, this is very good, uh, publicity for both of these conferences, Conference USA as well as the Sun Belt. But again, this is another one. One of those games where what you saw all year with these two teams is what you're gonna get here. There's not a ton of opt-outs, there's not a, a ton of missing pieces to this, which is why this game is almost a pick them here. So, not a lot of line movement one way or the other, except we are starting to see some under money come in for this game. Check the weather out in this one. Here's the weather out in this one on Friday night, excuse me, Saturday morning, I should say, excuse me, Miami, Florida, and Texas A&M. This line opened up, Joe, as a total of 51.5, still sits there today. We are expecting a little bit more increased winds of around 15 miles an hour sustained. Weather temperatures early in the week, we're looking at around 80 degrees or so. That's dipped a little bit as well to around 75 once we're midway through that game. The favorite is Texas A&M. They opened up around a 3.5 point favorite. You see the graphic, they're still sitting at 3.5 as a favorite. Ticket count pretty close around 53% on Miami, 47% on Texas A&M. Joe, what is your spread line for this game, college football playoff style? Well, I thought it was a, it'd be a good time to get you an update here on this is one of the more intriguing college football playoff games, Donnie, and there seems to be a clear pros versus Jo's argument here, uh, that is shaping up because all of the tickets and the majority of the money, Donnie, have come in on A&M. But as you pointed out here, we have seen this line go from 4, 4.5 and then open, and now 3.5s are predominant in a ton of spots. So you've got, you got tickets and money going towards A&M, but you got the line moving towards Miami. What does that tell us? Well, that tells us the more influence. Influential banners are backing Miami, while the public seems to think, no way can I back Mario Cristobal and the Canes here. But, uh, so far, no crazy injury reports or anything along those lines regarding these two teams. But it's clear the public likes A&M while the pros seem to be favoring the U. Let's get on another public play here. That's gonna take place Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. It's James Madison taking on Oregon. Line ticket count I'm seeing, Joe, around 60% of those tickets on Oregon. That line opened up around 20.5 points. We're now seeing it north of 3 touchdowns, most outlets ringing in at a 21.5. Total this 1, 49.5. Can JMU hang around? Or is it an Oregon night show? What's that spread line for you? All right, so again, I just gave you at the top of this, Donnie, 2 bowl games, right, where the spreads were basically maybe 12, but mostly a pick them. And now I am in a college football playoff game in which I have to try to explain how James Madison is even here given the playoff game, and they are getting 3 touchdowns to start this game. 3 touchdowns. And yet in an Xbox Bowl, it's a pick them with 2 teams that are very evenly matched, and these are supposed to be the best teams the country has to offer. Playing for a national championship, I don't get it. But you've got Oregon have been pretty good at home, especially against non-conference teams, Donnie. 117-0 straight up, 9 and 2 against the number. Every one of them double-digit wins. I thought we would see this line continue to rise, but believe it or not, Donnie, uh, we are pretty much locked in at. 21 here. I thought for sure we'd get a little bit closer. It was as high as 23.5. I was wondering if it would get to 24, but it's actually come back down. 21 is that key number right now. Do they win by more than 3 touchdowns? If they do, we gotta have a serious talk about this here, Donnie, about this, uh, a 3-touchdown underdog in a playoff game. Bowl season here. Now, hold on. I, I need a graphic for this one. Do we have a graphic up here for Troy State and Jacksonville, what this bowl was actually called? Is it the, look at Joe. IS4S salute to Veterans Bowl. Now, if you read that quickly, that first word there looks like maybe it doesn't really associate too well with the veterans here in the military service if you catch my drift. But Troy and JSU today, 1.5 point favorite. For Troy, 49.5 as a total, Joe. 9, I'm, I'm getting upset with this, Joe, because you know what? Tomorrow, we got a bowl game starts at 5 o'clock. I can get down with that. A 9 o'clock bowl game for Troy Jacksonville State. Correct me if I'm wrong. This isn't the, uh, 2006 NCAA championship between like, you know, uh, Florida and Ohio State, where we're gonna wake up till wait up till 9 o'clock. Stop with the 9 o'clock, but what do we got tonight, Joe, for Troy and Jacksonville State? Well, you know, Jacksonville State, uh, we have talked about on the show before, Donnie, uh, conference USA, uh, they lost in the title game there, the Kennesaw State. And we saw Troy in the title game for the Sun Belt, right? And they lost, uh, but gave JMU all they could handle, uh, because that was actually a pretty good game right up until the last couple of minutes there, uh, when things went off the rails. But don't forget. Troy, this is now a 2-year head coach there for Troy. We told you there were some question marks about the starting quarterback who got hurt in that game against uh JMU, but it looks like he is going to go here. And Stiles make fights here. This is all about both these teams are gonna have the same quarterbacks, the same, uh, group, core group of guys that we saw them in the championship game. With, and the reason, look at the spread, Donny, I think it tells you everything you need to know. It's a coin flip game. These two teams are very similar and, you know, OK, Sun Belt versus Conference USA. Both of these teams lost in their conference championships. I think that Jacksonville State, if Troy can't stop the run, Jacksonville State is gonna run all over them and eventually win this game. By the way, what does it cost to sponsor a bowl game these days? Like, hey, you know, we're gonna sponsored by IS4S. I'm not even looking that up. I don't even care what that actually means at this point. So how much money do they actually spend? The reason why I bring that up, Joe, is the next game we're gonna talk about is Old Dominion versus South Florida. So you're down with that, the 5 o'clock game. Tomorrow. This is the staff DNA cure bowl here. Like, does it cost like $30 to now sponsor games? Like everything in this country, like prices are rising. I think bowl prices to sponsor it are absolutely crashed down at their lowest levels ever, where I don't even understand who's sponsoring these bowl games anymore. It's crazy, right? The staff DNA curable? Yes, staff DNA cureable. I would have loved to have seen this game during the regular season when both teams and starting quarterbacks for both these teams would have played in these games. But unfortunately, that's not what's going to happen here. I had told you that, you know, the Old Dominion Monarchs, their quarterback, this kid, Colton Joseph, I mean, had a huge year. The kid was so much fun to watch. Over, you know, 2700 yards throwing, over 1000 yards rushing. And now he enters the transfer portal and he won't play in this game against South Florida. And we know, uh, Byron Brown, the quarterback for USF, right? Uh, fantastic. 4100 yards of offense, uh, put up 43 points per game this year. He's not going to play in this game. The head coach is now no longer there, so, you know. This is one of those games, Donnie, where you tread very carefully because this game is being played and it's all about what to see next year. But ODU, uh, Ricky Rain, the, uh, the, the coach, he'll be back next year. Still some question marks about who's gonna be leading it next year for South Florida. So advantage to me is Old Dominion. By the way, like staff DNA I assume is the company's, but this thing was always called the Cure Bowl. What does that even mean? It, the Cure Bowl, I believe, was always the name. I don't know what staff DNA is. That's new to me. That's all, that's all new. I know, I don't ever remember that. Let's get, let's get a new one here, Joe. Louisiana and Delaware, sponsor of this bowl game, 68 ventures. Sounds like a dispensary here in New Jersey at this point. But the favorite is Louisiana -2.5 and Delaware is 61.5. These, these bowl games are getting better and better with the sponsors as we go, Joe. 68 Ventures Bowl, that sounds fun, Donnie. But at least this is a bowl game in which, what you see is what Louisiana, Lafayette, and Delaware, to last check, Donnie. No opt-outs. So for the most part, we've got two mediocre teams at 6 and 6, taking on each other here, and they are gonna be just as mediocre as they were during the regular season. So, but at least you don't have to try to mix and match. You can handicap this based upon the season-long stats, not because it's gonna be exactly the same teams, quarterbacks, coaches, everything else. So, for the most part, what you see is what you get in this game. Like, like when you were growing up and you made a bowl game in college football, like, hey, come home to the family. What bowl games at the Independence Bowl. Uh, we played in the, uh, you know, the Peach Bowl, or just like something along those lines like, hey man, we made a bowl game. Where'd you go this year? '68 Ventures Bowl. Like that doesn't count. Like that doesn't count. Peach Bowl, Bluebonnet Bowl, the New Jersey, the Garden State Bowl, which actually played, I believe in the late 1970s at Giants Stadium. Imagine going there. But now we have the pinstripe Bowl playing in ice-cold conditions as well. The college football playoff will begin this week, Joe, and that's gonna start on Friday night, 8:00 p.m. Alabama and Oklahoma. Alabama on the road is a slight favorite at -1.5 and a super low total of 40.5 points. People can't kick Alabama, but maybe it's, well, Oklahoma's offense stinks, you know, Alabama could at least maybe be able to move the football here. Yeah, and the line swings are interesting in this game, Donnie, because it, it's almost as if the oddsmakers can't figure out who should be favored. Should it be Oklahoma? Should it be Alabama? Should it be Oklahoma? Like they, they're having a very hard time figuring this one out here because we've seen both here since this game was announced, but. Uh, listen, I, I think you just have to, you have to look at this and go, number 1, yes, we know OU has one of the best defenses in the country, but are they capable enough of scoring enough points in this game? Can they beat Alabama for a second time in the same season, all things being equal, likely offense is gonna be needed in this game, and I think Alabama has an over OU. Yeah, they probably do. Like, I'm looking towards that Alabama side here. Should be a fun game to watch it play out. I like the fact it's like that appetizer for a monster weekend where they give you a, a, a really good college football playoff game on a Friday night. Not a 21.5 point number which they probably could have stuck Oregon there and JyM. You, but did we miss an opportunity, Joe, to maybe, you know, make that a game, Alabama, Oklahoma from the 69 ventures Dust Bowl. How about that? One up with you, 68 ventures at this point.
