But let's get to the crown jewel. Typically, each and every conference championship weekend. It's the SEC. It's Georgia and it's Alabama. Quite frankly, this is not even the best game of the weekend, but it is the SEC and there's a lot going to come from this, Joe. Georgia and Alabama in Atlanta. The line opened up roughly 1.5. You see the movie. here to Georgia at -2.5, a total of 48.5. A lot is on the line, and I'm gonna start this by saying, I'm gonna be pissed off if Alabama gets in this college football playoff with a loss on Saturday. So Alabama, don't piss me off. Win this football game. You're spread line, Joe, for Georgia and Alabama. What is it? Well, it, it's interesting, right? Because we are starting to see, and you gotta wonder, is there any Georgia fatigue in the marketplace here, Donnie, uh, when it, it just feels like here we go again. The problem is, Georgia doesn't exactly have the greatest track record against, uh, Baman this goes all the way back to the, uh, the Sabin days too as well. But we are starting to see a little bit of love here in the marketplace. This got, uh, was 1 1.5 at the open. Donnie, we're now 2.5, but there are some spots where we're starting to see 2, so maybe a little more Alabama love coming in. And I do think before we get to this kickoff tomorrow, Donnie, I, I believe there will be more Alabama money coming in. So my suggestion that these prices would be, whoever it is you like to win this game, just bet them on the money line and we're not getting any movement in the total whatsoever here. Yeah, we got Coach Bowden on a little bit later in the show. We'll talk to him extensively about this game, but Joe, we won't have another show in the early nights till Monday when the absolute card is set for the college football playoff. Answer me this. If Bama loses for you, Joe, it's like, ah, it's the SEC title game, they still get in. Or are you saying that's 3 losses and you lost to FSU and you're out. What's your thought process for Sunday's show? Well, it, listen, Bama losing is good for Notre Dame, right? But it ultimately, if we're talking about Miami, is it Miami? Is it Notre Dame? Who's it going to be? Well, that all depends on what Texas Tech does to BYU because if BYU wins, Donnie, it won't matter what, uh, Alabama does one way or the other. If Georgia wins or Alabama wins. The ramifications are if you're Bama, you're guaranteed to be in. If you win, you'll need maybe a little bit of help if you lose. Bottom line is, I don't think either of these two teams are going into that game, Donnie going, yeah, let's, uh, like, you know, Georgia's safe. Bama's like, yeah, as long as we don't get blown out, we're good to go. They are both gonna lay it out on the line to try and win this game. Can't wait to watch it play out. You'll do that on Saturday here. But let's take a look at Duke in Virginia, Joe. This is the ACC and did you know that Rick Ross is gonna be performing at ACC fan fest? They actually coined that term exactly right. Fanfest, not fans. There might be one fan in that stadium. Duke and Virginia. Virginia, 3.5 point favorite. Other outlets, Joe, as high as 4.5 now and a total of 57.5. The embarrassment, that is the ACC. It's gonna be showcased Saturday at 8 o'clock. It's also another game at 8 o'clock Saturday that maybe people are probably watching a little bit more. What's your spread line, Duke, Virginia. Well, listen, this was the doomsday scenario I talked about a couple of weeks ago, Donnie, hoping that this is exactly where the committee would be backed into a corner with the ACC getting shut out, and that is very likely to happen if Duke wins this game, right? 7 and 5 on the season if they upset number uh or what number 14 here at Virginia, uh, 10. To Virginia, then it's likely the ACC gets shut out. But the market doesn't think that's gonna happen here, Donnie. The market doesn't think that this rematch is going to be any different than what we got the first go around. It opened up at 2.5. It's now 3.5. There may even be 4 starting to pop up. It has been all Virginia money all week long. The total hovering around. 57.5. But if you want chaos, well, Duke winning would create a whole lot of chaos here, but the Cavs sitting at number 17 right now, it, it's pretty straightforward. If they win, the ACC is in, they'll be in at that particular point. But, uh, but Duke winning would be a whole lot of chaos for the committee. Yeah, talking about wins and losses and seeding here. You're not gonna have to worry about that with Indiana and Ohio State. They're gonna tee it up at 8 o'clock on Saturday night side by side with the ACC. That's hilarious. Indiana is getting 4.5 points at most outlets, the favorite, of course, Ohio State, a total of 47.5. You know Cignettti wants this. You know, the Indiana fan base wants this because how many times does it come around where Indiana can actually win the Big 10? But I'll tell you what would be hilarious. Ohio State loses this game, then wins the national championship in back to back years. We won the national championship. Oh man, Big 10 as well. No, we didn't win that at all, Joe. What's your spread line here, Indiana, Ohio State. Well, Donnie, I would be very worried about this because it appears the entire world is on Indiana here. This opened up 5.5, 6 for Ohio State. Donnie, had dipped down to 3.5 in a few spots yesterday, and that is where we saw the buyback on Ohio State. I, I mean, listen, Ohio State is not gonna roll over for anybody. We know this. If Indiana is as good as they think they are neutral site. All right, well, you're gonna have to prove it, but I do think the Ohio State money, Donnie is sitting on the sidelines waiting to see just how much will the public bet Indiana before kickoff here. The Ohio State money is coming, Donnie, before kick. We're right back on a football Friday. Really excited. It's Donnie writes out, it's Joe Raanie and it's coach Terry Bowden. We have so much to talk about this week, so much up in the air, coach. You've been through all these wars in college football. How about a television show that tells you when and where you're allowed to play, coach? It's insane, isn't it? It is getting crazy. I'm, uh, well, you know what? I'm so tired about seeing which coach is gonna go where or hearing about Lane Kiffin. I'm ready to talk about anything else. Yeah, let's get right down to the business. Yeah, I mean, let's, it's about on the field, not off the gun, by the way, Lane Kiffin is supposed to show up at the SEC championship game to be interviewed. That should be wild in itself, but coach, let's get right down to the business here. Georgia and Alabama are going to play. Before I let you answer, let's hear from Kirby Smart right now about being conservative in the playoffs. So, that that goes along with the SEC championship, what's better for you to to the hardest or to go is try to see. If you worry about injury risk, we won't practice next week. So like you live your life scared of injuries, you know what you get. A very scared team. And, uh, I don't, you know, I mean, yeah, there's also an opportunity to win the SEC championship. Does that matter? Does anybody care about that anymore? I mean, I grew up thinking that was the greatest game in the world, and I just Different from everybody else. Yeah, we lost guys today injured. We're gonna lose guys in practice to injury, but that's next man up. Like, what's wrong with this whole thing now it's like, what if you get hurt? What if you do this? What if you do that? I mean, it's football. It's all part of it. Coach, taking it easy in the SEC championship game. What? Come on now. The college football will never be quite like the NFL because of conference championships. Now Kirby Smart has not been successful against Alabama. 0-2 against Kalin De Bo. This is huge to him. This is personal to him and it is very big. He played at Georgia when I was a head coach at Auburn. He was in the defensive backfield playing against me. It means a lot. It's a huge game and it will always be big, uh, especially in the South, uh, that conference championship. Coach, how much, how much do you look at that game, that first game between those two teams? Is there anything to take? It feels like it was a million, you know, years ago here. Uh, it felt like Georgia got better as the game went on. So, and what kind of adjustments do the coaches make here, if any? Well, the, the Georgia has had a problem all year and especially against Alabama, uh, falling behind in the first half and then spending the entire game catching up. Georgia has got to stay even. I don't care if they're losing by 7.5, but stay even, keep pounding the football, play good defense, because I think they'll overwhelm Alabama in the second half. That's what that's been their MO the whole year. They've just gotta make sure they don't fall behind because Alabama is very talented. Their quarterback is a winner. They've got some big players places people. On offense and so Georgia, if they'll just stay close, I think they win it like they've done all year. And let me say this, when you played twice in one year in college football and you lose the first time, you got a good chance of winning the second time. It always happens. I'm gonna go back to Florida State. My dad in '96 played Florida during the regular season, beat them 24-21. They met up again in the national championship. He lost 52 to 2 he lost 52 to 20 in the championship. Georgia will find a way to win this game. Coach, let me ask you a question on this too. We understand if Alabama wins, of course they're in. Alabama loses. Is there a chance that they could be left out of the college football playoff? I think there's gonna be some serious questions that have to be answered. Let's go a little bit further. What if Duke wins and now you've gotta find a way to fit somebody in another G5 team possibly. Now, now if, if you have no ACC teams, they've got to find a way to get Miami and they've got to find a way to get a ACCTM where it blows up this whole. Thing because that's a lot of uh a lot of investment by the ACC and that they get a team in there so uh there's a lot to happen but I do think, uh, if Alabama loses there is a question not that they don't deserve to be in because you shouldn't play a conference championship and fall out but that committee has got to look at how they treat the ACC if Duke blows it up a little bit. Well, listen, Miami's best shot at getting in is they need Texas Tech, uh, to handle business against BYU. Now, to your point, you just said, teams that played twice, well, the market doesn't think we're gonna get anything different than we got the first game, coach, because it's 12.5 in a, in a big 12 championship. Do we get any different result than we got last time? Well, I think not Texas. I think, you know, unless one team is definitely better than the other team, and I do think Texas Tech is better than BYU. They've won their 11 wins out of their 12 games have been by over 20 points. They have been that good, good in their victories in their. and the game that they lost their quarterback was out. I just think they're better. This, the, the, I think they've got this game and I think they'll win this team. It's a case of them just being a better football team, especially defensive front, and I think they slow down BYU and they win this game. Coach, I know you'll be watching on Saturday night 8 p.m. What a game we have in the Big 10. 2 teams undefeated, that's Indiana and Ohio State. Indiana, not used to being in this position. Talk to us about how prepared Indiana will be and also Kurt Signetti, you know he wants this game bad. Yeah, you know, and, and of course I know Kurt and I've known him all of his life and, and I watched the coach. He's really the more experienced head coach. You look at what he's done, he's been a lot more postseason games. I think you may be able to, his coaching is not gonna be sub what, uh, Ohio State is, but when you look at this team, #1 defense Ohio State #2. Offense Indiana, both quarterbacks I call that pretty even when I look at this game, who has the most veteran NFL talent? Who's got the most talent on that field, uh, during the entire game and that's still on our state and so until, until I see Indiana do that I've gotta take Ohio State to cover. You, you, you want, I mean, is Ryan Day, he know, he's been here and done this before though, coach, like how much of that playbook is he opening up? Oh, it's all gonna be there I promise you let, let me, I don't downplay his the, the type of coach that he is. I just, Kurt has been when you win in a lot of different schools and you take them to championships, I'm one out of, I know for a fact it's no easier in Division 3 than it is in division 2 and backwards. So but he'll, he'll lay it out there and do everything he can that Big 10 championships like the SEC championship. Now coach, we have you on each and every week. We'll talk to you again tomorrow as the games go on. But let me ask you this question. You're sharp as a tack right now. Penn State doesn't have a football coach. It's about time about and has landed in State College. What do you say? Come on. What you have to ring. Well, you know, when my dad was at West Virginia and I was at West Virginia, we lost about 20 straight years to Penn State during those days. It was tough, but let me. No, I think I'm best. I'm best talking to y'all each week on the football. I did my 30 years of duty, but I'll say this I've heard the name Matt Campbell. I've coached against him, great coach. They ought to go down and they ought to go down and talk Tony Elliott into as those two would be great choices. I don't hear much about that. We was robbed last night on a couple of games. Should have at least got a split at worst case scenario, probably should have went 2-0, but that's neither here nor there. Sweeps on Monday, sweeps on Tuesday, reverse sweeps on Wednesday and Thursday, but it all comes down to Friday for that winning week today, Joe, where are we headed? We are headed, Donny, to, well, none other than college football here. If it ain't broke, we ain't fixing it. We have cashed a number of tickets on the Kennesaw State Ows this year, and you heard coach, uh, Coach Bowden earlier in the show, Donnie, say, hey, when a team, uh, that are pretty much equal here, uh, or. To be an equal, played for a 2nd time in a season. Well, it's an advantage to the team that lost the first game, and that's exactly what we have here. Jacksonville State is hosting this game because they beat Kennesaw State at home a few weeks ago, 35 to 26. But forget that number. Look at the numbers. Kennesaw State blasted them. The problem was they had 4 turnovers in the game, but they outgained them, Danny, by nearly 180 yards in that game here. They have one of the worst defenses, Jacksonville State. Kennesa State's better offensively. They are very one dimensional Jacksonville State when it comes to offense. They can only run the ball and if they don't, can't run the ball, guess what? They're out of luck here. I like Kennesaw State. They're a bit better defensively. They are significantly better offensively. Revenge game. Give me Kennesaw State on the money line to get it done tonight, Donnie.
