2025 NFL Fantasy Football: Week 10 News, Notes & Betting Breakdown

New England Patriots Backfield Chaos: Henderson or Jennings?

The New England Patriots have become a fantasy puzzle again — and not the fun kind. With Rhamondre Stevenson expected to miss his second straight game, fantasy managers have scrambled for any clarity in the backfield. Early panic set in last week when TreVeyon Henderson barely saw the field in the first half, but the rookie eventually got touches in the second half and looked serviceable. The surprise? Terrell Jennings, a practice-squad call-up, vultured the lone rushing touchdown.

This is shaping up as another frustrating committee — and it gets worse: Kayshon Boutte is out, leaving Drake Maye with almost no proven weapons. New England will have to lean on short passes and checkdowns, so Henderson has slight PPR appeal if you’re desperate.

Fantasy Tip: Henderson > Jennings for volume, but it’s a 50/50 red-zone risk.

Betting Angle: Under 37.5 — with no Stevenson or Boutte, the Patriots’ offense lacks pop.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Injury Stack: Next-Man-Up Again

The Buccaneers are somehow thinner after a bye than before it. Mike Evans (collarbone) and Chris Godwin (knee) remain sidelined, while rookie RB Bucky Irving is also out. That leaves Rachaad White as the default fantasy starter once again — a safe bet for his usual 40 rushing yards, a handful of receptions, and likely a touchdown.

This could be the long-awaited bounce-back for Rome Odunze of the Chicago Bears, who’s expected to play through a hamstring issue. Tampa’s offense badly needs his downfield presence, and he carries sneaky DFS upside against a tired New England secondary.

Fantasy Tip: Keep trusting White in all formats; Odunze is a tournament DFS flier.

Betting Angle: White Anytime TD (+120) is a solid play against a depleted Patriots defense.

Los Angels Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers: Fantasy Gold and MVP Talk

Every Rams-49ers matchup feels like a playoff preview — and this week is no different. Matthew Stafford is playing some of the best football of his career, leading a high-powered offense that’s been fantasy gold. With Puka Nacua and Davante Adams both healthy and Kyren Williams active, you’re starting all Rams across formats.

On the other side, Christian McCaffrey continues to be the top overall fantasy asset in football, but his workload is starting to raise durability concerns. If Brian Robinson Jr. is somehow floating on waivers, stash him as insurance — McCaffrey’s touches are sky-high.

The 49ers remain coy about their QB situation. Brock Purdy is practicing in a limited capacity, but there’s a chance we see Mac Jones again in this spot. That means heavier reliance on McCaffrey and George Kittle, with Jauan Jennings sneaking into flex territory.

Fantasy Tip: McCaffrey and Stafford headline the week. Jennings is a sneaky WR3/Flex if Purdy sits.

Betting Angle: Rams -3.5 — Stafford’s MVP-level rhythm continues; expect another shootout.

Detroit Lions vs. Washington Commanders: Detroit’s Get-Right Game

Last week’s Detroit meltdown was shocking — but that’s exactly why Week 10 looks like a rebound spot. The Lions were flat across the board versus Minnesota, with Jared Goff struggling and both running backs underwhelming. Expect a full bounce-back effort against a Washington team that’s falling apart physically and emotionally.

Washington’s injuries have gutted both sides of the ball. You can start Sam LaPorta, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jahmyr Gibbs with confidence. David Montgomery remains touchdown-dependent, but the Lions’ offense should see plenty of red-zone trips.

Fantasy Tip: Start all core Lions. Fade Washington skill players.

Betting Angle: Lions Team Total Over 27.5 — Detroit should score 30+ in a blowout spot.

Around the League Quick Hits

  • Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Expect the Eagles to lean on Saquon Barkley coming off a bye. The Packers’ front remains vulnerable to pass-catching RBs.

  • Minnesota Vikings vs. Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Henry is due for a bounce-back game — Baltimore’s offense will run heavy after extended rest.

  • New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns: Both offenses are bottom-five in yards per play. If you’re betting, the Under 38 remains sharp.

Betting Recap & Fantasy Takeaways

Final Word: Week 10 Shifts the Fantasy Landscape

Injuries, byes, and inconsistent offenses have thinned the fantasy landscape, but Week 10 brings opportunity. Smart managers will pivot to volume — White, Barkley, McCaffrey, and Gibbs all project as top-tier plays. Quarterback stability continues to separate contenders from pretenders, and for bettors, the trend is clear: lean under in injury-riddled games and over in the NFC matchups with healthy passing offenses.

Top Fantasy Plays of the Week: McCaffrey, Gibbs, Nacua, White

Top Betting Angles: Lions -7.5, Rams -3.5, Under 37.5 in Patriots-Bucs
