Michael Thomas (WR/Saints): Thomas sustained a grade three foot injury that could force him to the sidelines for Week 14. Dr. Anand Lilaji (Dr. A) discusses Thomas’ injury and the implications for his performance in Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.
Theo Riddick (RB/Lions): Riddick now has a grade two wrist injury in addition to the ankle injury that has hampered him for several weeks. Information about Riddick continues to change so Dr. A is advising close monitoring right up to game time. This is one situation best handled by the Inside Injuries app. Use the links at the bottom of the page to get yours free.
Jordan Reed (TE/Redskins): Reed has a grade three AC joint sprain, an injury that normally takes four or five weeks to completely heal. Dr. A discusses where Reed is in his recovery and offers his advice about using him in Fantasy lineups this week.
Adrian Peterson (RB, Vikings): The type of knee injury that Adrian Peterson needed surgery to repair typically takes around 20 weeks to heal and he is well short of that benchmark now. Dr. A gives his opinion about Peterson’s return and offers his advice to Fantasy owners hoping for an early return.
Ryan Mathews (RB/Eagles): (Ryan Mathews’ ACL injury has improved to grade two status over the 10 days he’s been sidelined, less than one-third of the way to the optimal recovery time for what was a grade three injury. Dr. A is quite concerned that Mathews is returning early, so he offers cautionary advice to Fantasy owners.
Julio Jones (WR/Falcons): It was revealed this week that Julio Jones has been dealing with turf toe all season, but it has only flared up to become a problem on the field recently. Dr. A explains that turf toe is primarily a pain tolerance issue and he cites Jones’ history of playing through pain. The primary concern is that even if Jones plays, there is a very good chance that a flare-up during the game could force him to leave early. Hear what the Dr. has to say:
