2018 Fantasy Football ADP Duel: Kareem Hunt vs. Saquon Barkley
With the running back position becoming so vitally important coming into the 2018 season, the player that you take to be the cornerstone of your team as an RB1 is a big decision. Even in early drafts, you can see that running backs will be coming off the board hot and heavy in the first few rounds. To avoid being behind from the start, you will have to grab an upper echelon back in the first two rounds. If you happen to draw a selection towards the end of the first round, two players that you may have to decide between are Kareem Hunt and Saquon Barkley. One is the running back that led the league in rushing in his rookie year (Hunt), the other (Barkley) is the much talked about rookie from the 2018 class looking to make a mark himself. But, as you sit in the draft room and the opportunity presents itself to select one of these two, who do you take? Who comes out on top? That’s what we will decide in this ADP Duel.
Kareem Hunt: ADP 9
Kareem Hunt came into the league with a bang in 2017, leading the league in rushing and finishing as the third best player at the running back position. He was the sleeper of many drafts last year and once Spencer Ware went down to an injury, his ADP saw a crazy spike. Aside from a stretch in the middle of the season where Andy Reid seemed to forget about him, consistency was the name of Hunt’s game. He scored double-digit points in 10 of his 15 games, finishing fourth in Fantasy points per game. From a PPR perspective, Hunt stayed fairly involved in the Chiefs’ passing attack, catching a minimum of three passes in every game except for two. Hunt came in and asserted himself into this offense and became a factor in Fantasy because of the opportunities he was given.
