These positional rankings are going to change for…

2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile: Josh Jacobs, Alabama

Josh Jacobs 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Josh Jacobs is not an easy prospect to evaluate. For most NFL scouts and self-styled NFL Draft analysts on the internet, he is either the best running back in the 2019 NFL draft class or at least in the conversation. I have a distinct feeling that…

As of this moment, his Expert Consensus Ranking on Fantasy Pros (which combines rankings from across the industry) plants him as the 43rd overall player. Deebo Samuel 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Deebo Samuel has had a wild ride as a prospect. Eagles’ Nick Foles and Jaguars’ Blake Bortles Are Top FAAB Finds For Week 15

Joe Gallina December 11, 2017 3:39PM EDT
Week 14 saw four starting quarterbacks leave their games due to injury. If you’ve gotten this far in your season-long league, you probably have a very good, deep lineup. However, if you’re a Carson Wentz owner, his potential season-ending injury could severely hurt your team, but it doesn’t have to necessarily end your season. We’ve got a few waiver wire options for you at the quarterback position, as well as other position players and defensive streamers that could help you in your quest to win a Fantasy Football championship. If your league still allows you to make waiver wire moves, be aggressive, and if FAAB is still involved, don’t be afraid to use it all.

Nick Foles, QB, Eagles

The Eagles confirmed the worst Monday afternoon, as they confirmed that Carson Wentz would miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. The good news is that in Foles, the Eagles have a legitimate backup quarterback who has a history of being successful in the NFL. He’s surrounded by an excellent receiving corps, and he has very favorable matchups against the Giants and Raiders over the next two weeks.

Waiver Priority: High – if your moves still involve using FAAB, exhaust it all.

Blake Bortles, QB, Jaguars

Although he’s owned in 70 percent of CBS Sports leagues, he’s available in my 12-team league, so check your league’s waiver wire. Bortles has averaged 22 FPPG over the past three weeks and has thrown multiple TDs and no interceptions in his last two games. His next two matchups are against the Texans and 49ers, who entering Week 14, had given up the second and third-most FPPG to QBs, respectively.

Waiver Priority: If you lost your quarterback this past weekend, he should be one of your primary targets based on his upcoming favorable matchups and recent increased level of play.

Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens

We’d bet that you never thought you’d have to consider starting Flacco in Week 2 of the season-long Fantasy playoffs. Flacco has averaged just under 18 FPPG and thrown multiple TDs in his last two games. He also has very favorable matchups in Week 15 and 16 against the Browns and Colts. He’s owned in just 27 percent of CBS Sports leagues.

Waiver Priority: Don’t expect too much from him, but Flacco should be a serviceable starter over the next couple of weeks based on his matchups, and he should continue to produce moderate Fantasy production.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers

Garoppolo is owned in 41 percent of CBS Sports leagues, and with an average of 313 passing yards, he has enjoyed moderate success in his first two starts for the 49ers. He faces the Titans this week, who entering Week 14, had surrendered the fifth-most passing TDs. Unfortunately you won’t be able to use him in Week 16, since he has a very tough matchup against the Jaguars.

Waiver Priority: He’s nothing more than a one-week stop gap option. If you need to start him this week, your Fantasy team is in trouble.

Kerwynn Williams, RB, Cardinals

With Adrian Peterson sidelined for the past two weeks, Williams has been the Cardinals’ primary back. He’s carried the ball 36 times, and averaged 4.72 YPC during that time span. There is no timeline for Peterson to return, which means that Williams could continue to record between 15 and 20 carries per game for the near future. He has good matchups against the Redskins and Giants in Week 15 and 16, and is owned in just 17 percent of CBS Sports leagues.

Waiver Priority: Moderate – the potential to add a running back who will add depth to your team and get regular carries this late in the season makes him valuable.

Wayne Gallman, RB, Giants

Gallman had 12 carries for 59 yards (4.92 YPC) and caught seven of his nine targets for 40 yards in Week 14. His 46.3 percent snaps played percentage was his highest of the season, and perhaps we’ll continue to see an uptick in Gallman’s usage in the post-Ben McAdoo era. Gallman was a pretty good pass catcher in college (averaged 22 receptions per season) and could be a nice add in PPR scoring formats.

Waiver Priority: Moderate – we’ve seen how unexpected injuries can potentially derail Fantasy seasons.  If his increased playing time continues, he could add depth to your team.

Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars

We’ve featured Westbrook in the column in the past, however he’s still owned in just 37 percent of CBS Sports leagues. His Fantasy production has increased in each of his past four games, culminating in a five-catch, 81-yard performance in Week 14. He also scored his first TD in that game. He’s averaged nine targets over the past three weeks, and has upcoming favorable matchups against the Texans and 49ers.

Waiver Priority: Higher in deeper leagues, but as long as Allen Hurns continues to miss time, he should continue to be a Fantasy productive receiver.

Defensive Streamers

Titans at 49ers

The Titans defense is averaging just over 11 FPPG over the last three weeks. They take on a 49ers team who has an improving offense, but who entered Week 14 having given up 10 Fantasy points to opposing defenses in two straight games.

Dolphins at Bills

The Dolphins face a Bills team who could be relegated to starting their third-string quarterback. The Bills have scored an average of 13 points over their past five games.

Broncos at Colts

Despite their recent slump, the Broncos showed the Jets that they can still play some defense. They’ve averaged just under 15 FPPG over the past two weeks. The Colts have scored an average of 12.5 points over their last four games.

Good luck in Week 15 and don’t forget to follow me on Twitter @joegallina.
