Top 13 Pitching ADP Values
Starting Pitchers (Position ADP/Overall
David Price, BOS (27/101) – Turning 33 this year, there is legitimate concern with Price and his decline. However, Price had pitched at least 208 innings in all but one of the previous seven seasons with 194 in the other. Even with missed time last year, Price still had numbers near his career norms, which were improvements from 2016 in ERA and K/9. If Price simply rebounds to 180 innings, he’ll be inside the Top 20 for starters.
Luis Castillo, CIN (37/137) – Castillo nears 100 mph on the radar, has a devastating changeup and a terrific slider. If Castillo makes the jump to 180 innings, he’ll flirt with 200 strikeouts. In case you are wondering, only 16 pitchers reached that mark last year. Castillo also held opposing hitters to a .198 AVG, which only three of those 16 pitchers managed to do.
