I got together with Davis Mattek (@DavisMattek) to do a first round rookie mock draft. Our objective in this…

Now that the NFL combine is upon us, here are my Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Rankings. I have done them by position: Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Running Back and Tight End. These positional rankings are going to change for…

The 2019 Post-Combine RB Success Model

Which 2019 RB Prospects Have the Best Odds to Succeed? I’ve been doing a lot of modeling on the wide receiver side of things so far, but very little with running backs. There are some new modeling techniques I’ve been eager to try, with one of them being a logistic regression to find success probability…

2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile: Josh Jacobs, Alabama

Josh Jacobs 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Josh Jacobs is not an easy prospect to evaluate. For most NFL scouts and self-styled NFL Draft analysts on the internet, he is either the best running back in the 2019 NFL draft class or at least in the conversation. I have a distinct feeling that…

You Are Probably Too Low On Damien Williams For Fantasy Football

Damien Williams: First Round Fantasy Football Pick Damien Williams is being ranked and drafted erroneously. As of this moment, his Expert Consensus Ranking on Fantasy Pros (which combines rankings from across the industry) plants him as the 43rd overall player. At the running back position, he is being ranked behind Derrick Henry, Kerryon Johnson, Phillip…

Deebo Samuel 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Deebo Samuel has had a wild ride as a prospect. In 2017 lists and at the start of the 2018 season, he was perhaps regarded as one of the best wide receiver prospects in the entire class. Samuel was pretty consistently hampered by injury while at…

Fantasy Football Free Agency: Tyrell Williams & Oakland Raiders

Fantasy Football Free Agency: Tyrell Williams Signs With The Oakland Raiders The wide receiver market was not nearly as good in free agency as it was via trade, making Tyrell Williams one of the best options out there for teams to sign. The Raiders made what appeared to be a sizable commitment for him – four years and…

Strong Fantasy Streamers for Week 10

Quarterbacks

Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns: The Falcons defense is getting better with the addition of Bruce Irivin to the pass rush and Deion Jones returning from injury, so this may be one of the last weeks that we can pick on them. With the Falcons likely to put quite a few points on the board Sunday, Mayfield will have to put the ball in the air. We said the same thing last week and he put up 297 yards and two TDs versus the Chiefs. A repeat wouldn’t be out of the question.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: I still believe the Bucs will have to go back to Jameis Winston eventually, but it won’t be this week. Fitzpatrick is what he is, a very good NFL backup QB. He’ll start again Sunday and while the Redskins are supposed to have an improved secondary with the addition of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, that wasn’t the case last week and may not be the case Sunday either.

Eli Manning, New York Giants: Yes, Eli Manning is a bad NFL QB at this point in his career. Fantasy wise though, he can still get the job done. There are only two games this season in which he hasn’t thrown for at least 279 yards. The problem hasn’t been the yardage, it’s throwing TDs, as he is only averaging one TD pass per game. Still, he’s playing against a weak secondary in the 49ers and the Giants are coming off a bye. If you’re looking at him, it means you have problems at the position. Perhaps this is his week.

Alex Smith, Washington Redskins: This could be a gamble as the Washington offensive line has issues to say the least. The problem is the Bucs may not be able to take advantage of that weakness, but they may be able to limit the damage that Adrian Peterson can do on the ground. If so, Smith will be forced to throw and he’s coming off of a 300-plus yard outing versus the Falcons in Week 9.

Running Backs

Cordarrelle Patterson, New England Patriots: This pick would’ve been much more interesting had Sony Michel not returned to practice this week. The Pats don’t like running James White near the goal line and Patterson is having some success carrying the rock. The problem, though, is that with Michel likely to play Sunday versus the Titans, Patterson may not get many, if any. opportunities to carry the ball anymore. Proceed with caution here.

Elijah McGuire, New York Jets: McGuire pretty much takes over the role vacated by the season-ending injury to Bilal Powell. The Jets will be trailing in games more often than not down the stretch and that should lead to plenty of chances for not only carries but catching passes out of the backfield. Touchdowns may be few and far between, but 8-12 Fantasy points in PPR leagues per week is not out of the question.

Kapri Bibbs, Washington Redskins: Washington won’t play a worse defense this season than the Bucs on Sunday. Every Washington player should have value, and this includes Bibbs, as Chris Thompson will miss the game once again with multiple rib injuries. If Washington can’t move the ball via a traditional ground attack, they may have to use short passes to Bibbs in the flat as an alternative and Bibbs should benefit from that game plan.

Mike Davis, Seattle Seahawks: Chris Carson is a game-time decision with hip and groin injuries. Even if he plays Sunday, he will be limited at best. Davis could be the bell cow back Sunday. The problem, of course, is that the ‘Hawks are playing the high-scoring Rams and the run game may not exist for Seattle if they are trailing by 17 points. Still, a starting RB is hard to pass up at this point in the season.

Wide Receivers

Maurice Harris, Washington Redskins: You’re forgiven if you haven’t heard of Harris. He came out of nowhere last week to catch 10 passes for 124 yards. Harris could be in for another big game this Sunday against a porous Bucs’ secondary and with Washington possibly without Jamison Crowder (ankle) and Paul Richardson on IR. Josh Doctson could also be a pickup for the same reason.

Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals are coming off a bye and while the time off probably hasn’t helped them to figure out a way to stop the high-flying Chiefs from scoring, perhaps they have come up with an offensive game plan to keep up with them. Okay, probably not, but Kirk is having a solid first season with Josh Rosen and should have quite a few opportunities to reel in passes Sunday.

Adam Humphries, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: It may just be a hot streak, but numbers are still numbers and Humphries has 15 receptions for 158 yards and two TDs over his last two games. Sure, Washington has Josh Norman, who may be able to lock down a WR, but that won’t be Humphries. He will play out of the slot and could be another popular target for Fitzpatrick in this game.

Tight Ends

Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts: You’d be lucky to find 12 startable TEs this week. Let’s talk about Doyle. He’s back. He’s finally healthy and could one again become a favorite target for Andrew Luck. Yes, Eric Ebron excelled in his absence, but there should be enough targets for both TEs, as outside of T.Y. Hilton, this team isn’t exactly loaded with WR depth.

Defense/Special Teams:

Buffalo Bills: I was a lot happier about this choice when it looked like turnover machine Sam Darnold was going to start at QB for the Jets. Still, it’s not like Josh McCown is anything great and the Jets have been an offensive mess for a few weeks now.

New York Jets: Once again I would’ve preferred the Jets if Nathan Peterman were going to start at QB for the Bills. Seriously, how is Peterman still on an NFL roster? The Bills don’t have any offensive talent outside of LeSean McCoy and it’s not all that hard for an NFL defense to eliminate one piece of an offense.
