Now that the NFL combine is upon us, here are my Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Rankings. I have done them by position: Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Running Back and Tight End. These positional rankings are going to change for…

First Round Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft

With the Combine only a couple of weeks away, now seems like a good time to start evaluating not just who to target in dynasty rookie drafts, but where those targets may go in your league. I got together with Davis Mattek (@DavisMattek) to do a first round rookie mock draft. Our objective in this…

The 2019 Post-Combine RB Success Model

Which 2019 RB Prospects Have the Best Odds to Succeed? I’ve been doing a lot of modeling on the wide receiver side of things so far, but very little with running backs. There are some new modeling techniques I’ve been eager to try, with one of them being a logistic regression to find success probability…

2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile: Josh Jacobs, Alabama

Josh Jacobs 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Josh Jacobs is not an easy prospect to evaluate. For most NFL scouts and self-styled NFL Draft analysts on the internet, he is either the best running back in the 2019 NFL draft class or at least in the conversation. I have a distinct feeling that…

2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile: Miles Sanders, Penn State

Miles Sanders 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Miles Sanders is an interesting case study in how to evaluate prospects. Our general analysis weights breakout age and production as a true freshman as something that is fairly important. When evaluating wide receivers, this task becomes a little easier because no football team ever has…

2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile: Greg Dortch, Wake Forest

Greg Dortch 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Greg Dortch is one of the best age-adjusted producers in the entire 2019 wide receiver class. In 2017, he broke out with 35 percent of Wake Forest receiving yards, and a ridiculous 47 percent of the touchdowns. Dortch accomplished this prior to his 20th birthday. He then…

Damien Williams: First Round Fantasy Football Pick Damien Williams is being ranked and drafted erroneously. As of this moment, his Expert Consensus Ranking on Fantasy Pros (which combines rankings from across the industry) plants him as the 43rd overall player. At the running back position, he is being ranked behind Derrick Henry, Kerryon Johnson, Phillip…

2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile: Deebo Samuel, South Carolina

Deebo Samuel 2019 NFL Draft Prospect Profile Scouting Report Deebo Samuel has had a wild ride as a prospect. In 2017 lists and at the start of the 2018 season, he was perhaps regarded as one of the best wide receiver prospects in the entire class. Samuel was pretty consistently hampered by injury while at…

Fantasy Football matchups to exploit in Week 13

WRs vs CBs

Robert Woods vs Nevin Lawson

Woods is the new primary slot wide receiver for the Rams with Cooper Kupp done for the season and will see soft coverage there this week. He will see Nevin Lawson in coverage, who has allowed the most yardage on the Lions secondary. It allows him to avoid Darius Slay, who will likely limit Josh Reynolds or Brandin Cooks. Woods tied his season high in targets with 11 last game and should start seeing more scoring opportunities with Kupp being a popular target for Jared Goff in the red zone. A big week seems on tap for Woods.

Josh Doctson vs Rasul Douglas

The Eagles’ secondary is one of the most susceptible groups in football. They were already below average at full strength and with all the injuries they allow for big upside. Doctson is the Washington wide receiver who I believe will take advantage of the matchup the most. He is likely to see Rasul Douglas in coverage, who allowed over 100 yards in both of his last two games. Doctson has been trending in the right direction lately as well with seven and ten targets in the last two games. He is taking advantage of the Paul Richardson injury and can explode this week against Philadelphia.

Kenny Golladay vs Troy Hill

Golladay has stepped up with Marvin Jones and Golden Tate out of the picture and should do so again this week. It is a great matchup for Golladay against the Rams who have allowed the most Fantasy points to wide receivers over the past four weeks. It should be a friendly game script for Golladay with the Rams likely getting up in the game and are ten point favorites. He should see Troy Hill in coverage, but it honestly does not matter much as both Hill and Marcus Peters have been beat a lot this year. I see Golladay getting over 100 yards and a score.

Emmanuel Sanders vs Darqueze Dennard

Sanders had been very disappointing the past few weeks, but bounced back against the Steelers in Week 12. He should carry that momentum into a great matchup against the Bengals this week. Cincinnati’s defense has been torched recently, giving up 30 points in four of their past five games. Sanders has big upside with the juicy matchup and will have Darqueze Dennard covering him, who has been the Bengals’ worst cornerback. Sanders should be a Top 20 wide receiver this week.

Quincy Enunwa vs Malcolm Butler

Enunwa draws one of the worst cornerbacks this year in Malcolm Butler. Butler has allowed the second-most yards and the most touchdowns to receivers. Enunwa has matched up with him in the past when Butler was on the Patriots and got the better of him with a 5/109/1 line. The Jets have a lot less to play for than the Titans, so I expect the Jets to get down and then go into pass mode to give Enunwa more opportunities as well. With Enunwa having the preferred matchup of the Jets receivers, I expect him to quietly have a huge game.

RBs vs DEFs

Aaron Jones vs Arizona

The Packers have smartly committed to Jones over the past three games, getting 70 percent of their snaps and averaging 18 touches per game. In the best matchup of the three against the Dolphins, Jones exploded for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Similar to the Dolphins game, this is a great matchup in a positive game script with the Packers likely getting up big. The Cardinals have allowed the second-most rushing yards to running backs and Jones is in line to take advantage.

Phillip Lindsay vs Cincinnati

Lindsay has been extremely effective of the past two weeks with 25 carries for 189 yards (7.6 YPC). He should have similar effectiveness against a soft Bengals defense that has allowed nearly five yards per carry. He is coming off a game against the Steelers where he got his highest snap share of the season and, with the Broncos fighting for a playoff spot, Lindsay should be the featured back.

Gus Edwards vs Atlanta

Edwards has turned into a workhorse back for the Ravens. He is coming off a 118-yard effort against the Raiders last week on 23 carries, the third-highest among running backs in Week 12. There is still some room for growth in Fantasy production if Edwards is involved more in the passing game as well, but that remains to be seen. The Falcons’ defense is very prone to allowing receiving yardage to running backs, so if there was ever a week for Edwards to add on there, it would be this one. They have allowed the fourth-most Fantasy points to backs too. With another big workload coming against a bad defense, Edwards is a Top 20 back this week.

Josh Adams vs Washington

Adams is very similar to Edwards in his ascension to big time work. He has looked like the best runner for the Eagles since Jay Ajayi went down due to injury, and Doug Pederson has finally committed to him. He was given 22 carries last week after a season high of just nine before that. Now he has a solid matchup against Washington to once again run well this week. He has found the end zone the last two games, and seems to have secured the main goal line work, which is great for his Fantasy ability. If the game stays close, Adams should be given over 15 carries again, and he will succeed with them.
