Deron Williams Steals Diddy’s Crib for $15.8 Million

Williams spent more than 1/3 of his after-tax money from his $98 million contract on this NYC penthouse

This past summer Sean “Diddy” Combs was seen checking out the huge duplex penthouse at Tribeca’s Merchant House at 35 N. Moore Street in NYC. The 6,800-square-foot 6BR/4.5BA penthouse includes 3,000 square feet of outdoor space. While Diddy may have been first to the scene of the crime, according to the New York Post’s Jennifer Gould Keil, it appears as if Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams has stolen the crib for a mere $15.8 million.

As reported by CurbedNY, the 6,800-square-foot was last listed for $16.9 million when it was taken off the market at the end of December. The apartment has six bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and a 3,000-square-foot terrace with bridge crossing a lily pond. Other highlights include a shiny stainless steel restaurant grade kitchen, a floating staircase, a climate-controlled wine room, plenty of storage, and two parking garage spaces.

In July of 2012 Williams agreed to a five-year $98 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets. After spending more than 1/3 of his after-tax money on the stunning home, one might expect that Williams subleases a part of the pad to Kris Humphries to socialize in, recouping some of his cash outlay.
