Your Best Friend’s Ranks: Frank Stampfl’s Best Fantasy Five and Week 11 Lineup Rankings

Your Best Friend’s Ranks: Frank Stampfl’s Best Fantasy Five and Week 11 Lineup Rankings
Frank Stampfl November 15, 2018 9:56AM EDT

Frank Stampfl offers his Week 11 Fantasy Football lineup ranks

Alex Collins hasn’t lived up to expectations this season but he hasn’t been terrible either, currently sitting at RB23. Despite Javorius Allen stealing red zone touches early on, Collins has dominated in that area of the field lately. Since Week Seven, Collins has seven red zone carries to Allen’s one. Collins also has six rushing touchdowns, with four coming over the last four games. His six rushing touchdowns are tied for sixth among all running backs. If there are Fantasy Football gods, they will give Collins 15-plus touches in this matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Any stat you look at will point to the Bengals struggling against the run. They allow 118.4 rushing yards per game to running backs and 5.08 yards per carry, fifth and fourth highest in the NFL, respectively. Over the last month, they’ve allowed seven total touchdowns to running backs, tied for most in the NFL. This matchup is one made in heaven. Collins should be viewed as a high-end RB2 in Week 11.

The Oakland Raiders are tanking. They’re not a good football team and there is no way around that. Thankfully, they’re facing the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11, another not-so-great football team. That creates the opportunity for Doug Martin to step in as a low-end RB2/flex option in this matchup. Since Marshawn Lynch has landed on Injured Reserve, Martin has averaged 15 touches per game and 4.67 yards per carry while playing on 49.7 percent of the team’s snaps. Mind you, his touches have been somewhat limited in games because the Raiders are always playing from behind. This should be a closer contest against the Cardinals. It’s also a good matchup for running backs as Arizona has allowed 126 rushing yards per game, second most in the NFL. With six teams on a bye, Fantasy owners can feel a little better if they have no other option besides Martin.

63.5. This over/under between the Rams and Chiefs not only represents the highest of the season but the highest OF ALL TIME. Per @Covers on Twitter, there have been 14 games in the history of the NFL with totals of 58-plus and 11 of those went over. The odds tell us we’re in store for a good ol’ fashioned shootout on Monday night. It’s for that very reason we have to go back to the well once more with Sammy Watkins. Honestly, you want everybody from this game in your lineup. The reason I mention Watkins is because Fantasy owners might be hesitant given his foot injury and his inconsistencies. Despite playing for the highest scoring offense this season, Watkins is just WR36 in Fantasy points per game. Regardless, the Rams have been prone to giving up big fantasy games to opposing wide receivers. Over their last three games they’ve allowed an average of 42.2 PPR fantasy points to wide receivers. Watkins checks in as a WR2 in this matchup.

Devin Funchess’ production has been modest recently but there’s reason for optimism. Despite just 12 targets over his last three games, Funchess leads the team with 132 air yards with an aDOT of 11. He also leads the team with nine red zone targets this season. In Week 11 the Panthers take on the Lions who are allowing sixth most fantasy points to wide receivers over the last month. Additionally, they’ve allowed 10 touchdowns to wide receivers over their last five games. In Week 10 against the Bears, the Lions got torched for 11 receptions, 255 yards and three touchdowns, otherwise known as 54.5 PPR Fantasy points! The Lions are giving up touchdowns. Funchess leads the team in red zone targets. There’s definitely some chemistry between these two. Funchess should be viewed as a mid-range WR3 in Week 11.

With six teams on a bye, you may be forced to dig a little deeper for you WR3 or flex this week. One guy who might be available is Keke Coutee, only owned in 32 percent of CBS Sports leagues. How quickly we’ve all forgotten how effective Keke was when healthy. Back in Weeks Four and Five, he saw 26 percent of the target share: 15 targets against the Colts followed up by seven against the Cowboys. It’s a small sample but he was extremely dynamic after the catch during those games, ranking third in the entire NFL in YAC. Remember, Coutee predominantly plays slot receiver, a position that has produced so many gems like Juju Smith-Schuster, Tyler Boyd, Cooper Kupp (RIP) and many more this season. In Week 11, the Texans will face Washington, who’s allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. While they haven’t allowed many touchdowns, they’ve allowed at least 15 receptions and 211 receiving yards to wide receivers in four straight games. Coutee was dealing with a hamstring injury, but the team rested him in the game before the bye and obviously he had the bye week as well. I expect him to be fully healthy and take advantage of this matchup. He’s a sneaky PPR play in Week 11.
