Ravens Mike Wallace and Bears Kendall Wright Are Top FAAB Finds For Week 16

    Joe Gallina December 18, 2017 5:17PM EDT
With an average of 10 receptions, 157 receiving yards and six TDs over his last four games, Antonio Brown catapulted many Fantasy teams into the playoffs. Unfortunately, those teams are going to have to try to win a Fantasy championship without him. Packers’ receiver Davante Adams and Jaguars’ receiver Marqise Lee will also likely be out for Week 16. It won’t be easy, but you can still win that championship! We’ve identified some waiver wire options that can help you. You should also check your waiver wire to find out who is still out there. You never know who may be available. Believe it or not, although they are both highly owned in most leagues, Kyle Rudolph and Greg Olsen are available in one 12-team league I play in. At this stage of the game if you have any FAAB left, invest it all please. Good luck in Week 16! Win that championship, and don’t forget to follow me on Twitter @joegallina.

    Nick Foles, QB, Eagles

If you’re still streaming quarterbacks this late into the season, Foles is available in 39 percent of CBSSports.com leagues. He looked good against the Giants in Week 15 (25.5 Fantasy points per ESPN) and has a favorable home matchup against the Raiders in Week 16.

    Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens

Flacco has averaged just over 19 FPPG over the past three weeks and has a good matchup against the Colts in Week 16. He’s owned in just 36 percent of CBSSports.com leagues.

    Elijhaa Penny, RB, Cardinals

Kerwynn Williams suffered a quad injury in Week 15. Monitor the injury reports carefully this week. If Williams is out, the six foot two, 247-pound Penny could be a sneaky sleeper play in a favorable matchup against the Giants. Only desperate, risk averse Fantasy owners in deeper leagues need apply.

    Chris Ivory/T.J. Yeldon, RB, Jaguars

If you have an open spot on your Fantasy roster, are looking to block your Week 16 opponent, or are simply looking for some RB insurance, Ivory and Yeldon could be Fantasy-relevant this week. Leonard Fournette missed Week 15 due to quad and ankle injuries, and it’s unclear whether he will miss more time. Ivory (30 percent owned) had 17 carries and Yeldon (15 percent owned) had four catches in Week 15. Jaguars RBs have a favorable matchup against the 49ers in Week 16.

    Mike Wallace, WR, Ravens

Wallace has scored double-digit Fantasy points in five of his last six games in PPR scoring formats, averaging eight targets, four catches and 67 receiving yards during that span. Fellow WR Jeremy Maclin injured his knee and was removed from his Week 15 matchup against the Browns. If he’s out in Week 16, Wallace should continue to be featured as a big part of the Ravens’ passing game in a plus matchup against the Colts. Wallace is owned in 54 percent of CBSSports.com leagues.

    Martavis Bryant, WR, Steelers

Bryant has averaged seven targets in his last four games. With Antonio Brown out, Bryant will continue to be heavily targeted, and have a good opportunity to score a TD in a favorable matchup against the Texans. He is surprisingly only owned in 53 percent of CBSSports.com leagues.

    Kendall Wright, WR, Bears

Wright has averaged 12 targets, eight catches and 84 receiving yards over the past two weeks. With TE Adam Shaheen dealing with a chest injury that kept him out in Week 15 and Dontrelle Inman pulling a disappearing act of late, Wright should continue to be a big part of the Bears’ passing game. Wright is owned in 11 percent of CBSSports.com leagues.

    Keelan Cole, WR, Jaguars

Cole has averaged six targets over his past six games and scored TDs in his last three. Allen Hurns has been dealing with an ankle injury and hasn’t played since Week 10, and Marqise Lee suffered an ankle sprain in Week 15. If either of those two receivers are out for Week 16, Cole will continue to be fed a steady diet of targets in an excellent matchup against the 49ers. Cole is owned in just two percent of CBSSports.com leagues.

    Eric Decker, WR, Titans

Decker has averaged just under six targets over his last three games. His receiving yards have increased in each of his last four games, culminating in a five-catch 63-receiving yard Week 15 performance. Decker is owned in 26 percent of CBSSports.com leagues.,

    Geronimo Allison, WR, Packers

Davante Adams suffered his second concussion of the season, which could possibly keep him out of the Week 16 game. It would be great if you could get your hands on Randall Cobb, however, he’s owned in 68 percent of CBSSports.com leagues. Give it a shot but if he’s unavailable, Allison might be worth a flier in deeper leagues. He has a tough matchup against the Vikings D, led by Xavier Rhodes, but he was targeted eight times and caught five passes for 33 yards in Week 15. Hey, it’s better than taking a zero! Allison is owned in just one percent of CBSSports.com leagues.

    Defensive Streamers

    Lions at Bengals

The Lions’ defense has scored an average of 10.5 Fantasy points over the past two weeks. The Bengals have scored seven points in each of the past two games, and they surrendered 19 Fantasy points to the Vikings defense in Week 15. They are a team on the decline.

    Bears vs. Browns

The Browns have given up the most FPPG to team defenses this season. The Bears defense has scored an average of 10 FPPG over the past three weeks.

    Panthers vs. Buccaneers

Entering Week 15, the Buccaneers had given up an average of 12 FPPG to Fantasy defenses over the past two weeks. The Panthers defensive play has improved, and they’ve scored an average of 9.25 FPPG over the past four weeks.
