Not many moments in football are more exhilarating than a player taking a kickoff or a punt to the house. Special teams opportunities have helped to launch NFL careers and put certain individuals squarely on the Fantasy radar (hello, Ted Ginn, Jr.!) before they contributed regularly on offense. Those valuable kick returners are some of the most exciting players in the NFL, yet we typically give them short shrift in the Fantasy world outside of the occasional touchdown.
However, there are Fantasy leagues in which returners’ versatility is rewarded and that will be our focus here. These players also play an occasional factor in the performances of defense/special teams scoring. We’ll lay out the top Fantasy Football returners that can add more return (get it?) on your investment by boosting those point totals each week. Keep in mind, that while players like Antonio Brown can add return yardage to their already lofty potential in 2017, we will focus on players that will make a more significant impact to their personal year-end Fantasy point total; they can be later steals in drafts, especially in deeper leagues. (NOTE: You may notice that Tyreek Hill’s name is conspicuously absent from this list as the Chiefs have decided to remove him from the kicking game for now, as he sharpens his receiver skills in a bigger role on offense).
