First Pick: As you well know if you have already started doing your homework, any of the Top Four running backs would make quality selections in this or any of the next three spots. But you don’t want to just roll the dice on any one of them, you want to make the most informed pick. That means carefully dissecting the Big Four and coming up with the most desirable option. For me, it comes down to LeSean McCoy or Adrian Peterson. The former is the crux of a high-powered offense, and the latter can always have an amazing year. Matt Forte falls a bit short for me here because he is going to play in an offense with some other standout performers that will demand the ball, and Jamaal Charles is dealing with offensive line issues and some regression has to be expected after his stellar 2013 campaign. McCoy should not be affected in a major way by the arrival of Darren Sproles, he’ll still have a significant role in the passing game and he is going to be a TD finisher on an exciting offense.
Ideal Pick: LeSean Mccoy
