The Fantasy Football Industry Is Down on Van Jefferson: But Should They Be? Van Jefferson (LAR) was drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft only a few short weeks after the team shipped Brandin Cooks (LAR) out of town. LeSean McCoy, Kenny Stills, and the Week Zero Waiver Wire Watchlist

With the regular season three days away, the time has come to start setting our weekly lineups and thinking about our roster in reality and not in the abstract. Most of you likely have multiple drafts under your belt but perhaps have a few major drafts left over the course of the week. There are likely some good/useful players out on your fantasy football waiver wire already if you drafted early. Perhaps more importantly, there are players whose Week One playing time and performance will earn them a spot on our various rosters. I have found it helpful before the start of the season to have an idea of who I might be targeting on the waiver wire after the first games so that I don’t get caught up in the moment and end up making bad bids or claims.

Quick Notes On McCoy And Stills

LeSean McCoy: Obviously, McCoy signing with the Chiefs was not ideal for anyone but McCoy. Devin Singletary is now a top-100 pick for me and in the RotoExperts ranking; he should have a chance at being the starting running back for a team that wants to run the ball a considerable amount. Damien Williams is now a backend RB2 in drafts and in the projection model which is hard to swallow considering how monster of a season he was about to have. McCoy is likely close top a top-100 pick himself and will likely be in a 50-35-15 timeshare with Damien Williams and Darwin Thompson. Thompson is now nothing but a true sleeper but the sort of player that we encourage you to draft on Zero RB teams.
