I was looking at some ADP data from several different Fantasy Football sites and I noticed some out of whack tight end average draft positions. Fantasy Executive to the rescue. In the Executive Decisions video series for Executive Edge subscribers, I go over tough calls that Fantasy owners will have to make on draft day. In the latest Executive Decisions, I compare young NFC South tight ends Austin Hooper and O.J.Howard.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie tight end O.J. Howard has been turning heads in Tampa with his freak-like abilities. Back in April, Tampa used its 19th overall draft pick in Round 1 of the NFL draft to snag the rookie from Alabama. You guys should hear how the coaches, players, and beat writers are talking about this kid. As a matter of fact, the Buccaneers will be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks this summer. Anyway, back to O.J Howard and Austin Hooper. Fantasy Football owners love the other tight end in Tampa Bay, last seasons waiver wire darling Cameron “Make America” Brate again. I’m sorry, I had to drop that one time. The Brate love is well deserved. He came up big for owners last season. Cameron Brate finished as TE8 in PPR leagues. The Buccaneers did not need to draft a tight end this past April. They decided that O.J.Howard would be too good in their system to leave him sitting out there.
