Leonard Fournette, RB JAX – Start
Leonard Fournette has been dealing with a multitude of small injuries for most of the season, but it appears at this point that most of them have subsided. Fournette was able to practice in full on Wednesday and Thursday, and he is expected to play against the 49ers this week. He should have a good game too, as the 49ers have a pretty awful rush defense. Fournette will be a must-start for every single owner this week, no exceptions.
DeVante Parker, WR MIA – Sit
DeVante Parker missed three weeks earlier this season with a sprained ankle. He re-injured it last week, but it doesn’t seem like it was that severe. Even so, it’s a concern, especially because this is an injury that continues to be a problem. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday, and even if he is ready to go on Sunday, he is a risky Fantasy option. He has flex appeal in some leagues, but owners shouldn’t expect him to put up WR2 numbers, as he just hasn’t been of that quality all year. Throw in this lingering injury concern and it’s a risk to plug him into any lineups.
Kyle Rudolph, TE MIN – Start
Kyle Rudolph is also dealing with an ankle injury this week. Rudolph only played 20 snaps last week, much less than he typically does, but they also didn’t really need him. The Vikings crushed the Bengals 34-7. He has been limited at practice all week and should be out on the field on Saturday against Green Bay. He will be a Top 10 TE in all leagues as usual, and he could be a Top 3 if things work out. While his Injury Risk remains Elevated, his HPF (Health Performance Factor) did improve to Above Average, an indication that his ankle won’t hold him back.
Rex Burkhead, RB NE – Sit
While Rex Burkhead has not technically been ruled out for this week, he might as well be. Burkhead hurt his knee last week, and he is likely to miss the rest of the regular season. The knee sprain was diagnosed after an MRI, and he has not practiced this week. Most leagues are in the final week of their playoffs in Week 16, so he is safe to drop in all leagues in the hopes of picking up a running back flyer.
