Those of you who have lived to see the fantasy football playoffs and have been here with us this whole time, we salute you. The Fantasy football waiver wire is still ripe for the picking as we head into the playoffs for two reasons. The first is that many of the teams that are theoretically competing for guys on the waiver wire are done caring about fantasy football for the year. They have packed it in and left it for next year. The second is that as we get further down the stretch, many teams will either start packing it, resting semi-injured players or start to give rookie players a long look of evaluation.
Either way, this is the prime time to start stocking up on essentials for the playoffs: handcuff running backs, the correct streaming defenses and trimming the fat of players who will never make your starting lineup.
