Week Twelve Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Nyheim Hines, Noah Fant, And More
This has really been one of the worst seasons that I can remember in terms of true difference-making fantasy football waiver wire additions. There have been a few running backs like Wayne Gallman and Jaylen Samuels who were great one week fill-ins but failed to make a last impact. The same can be said of wide receivers; really only D.J Chark and Terry McLaurin have been players who you could start over a month of the season and Chark was drafted in most “expert” or high-stakes fantasy leagues. The Week Twelve fantasy football waiver wire doesn’t give us anyone particularly amazing but there are a few situations worth monitoring to build up your playoff rosters.
So what do we make of that? Well, it definitely means that there is a benefit to having not been forced to go all-in on Wayne Gallman or Ty Johnson (YIKES). If you have a meaningful amount of FAAB left, there are a few guys we like this week who you could find yourself starting in the fantasy playoffs but also, you have the freedom to continue to churn. We are also to the part of the season where if you have a playoff spot locked up and do not have a dominant QB/TE, you can pick up a second based on the matchups for the playoffs. I also think it is acceptable at this point to hold on to a second defense in deeper-bench/league formats. I have included a few of my favorite secondary QB and TE pickups in this weeks’ article as well as our usual targets.
